A lifelong candy-lover, Mayssa, like many people, found the candy experience turn from fun to guilt-ridden. She set out to create a brand that reinvented the candy experience, bringing joy and positivity back to the indulgence with low sugar, better-for-you gummy bears, featuring chef-crafted flavors, nothing artificial, and an elevated design.

Kat Garica

@katgarciaonline

Kat Garcia is the co-founder and co-CEO of Ground (@joinground), an AI assistant helping brands uncover untapped revenue opportunities in their data. Ground's clients include popular Sephora brands, Erewhon, and various direct-to-consumer companies. Kat's unique background sets her apart, as she is one of the few Latina entrepreneurs raising significant venture capital in the U.S. She has a background as an actress and recording artist, including opening for Young Money, and has transitioned into the business world, holding key roles as Head of Growth and founding team member at American Express’s startup, and the Venmo of Latin America, called Spin.

Brittany Lo

Founder of Beia Beauty & Beautini
@brittany.lo

As the CEO and Founder of Beautini, the NYC-based bridal beauty experience featured in People Magazine, The New York Times, The Knot, BRIDES and more, Brittany Lo and her team of 80 stylists have empowered thousands of brides and their closest circles through confidence-skyrocketing makeovers on the big day.

With her new beauty company, Beia, she’s taking on a larger mission: to empower women everywhere to feel their best, look their best—and basically dominate the world—24/7. How? Through a diverse line of clean beauty and wellness products that’s all about self-love sans guilt.

See, in her fieldwork, Brittany has all too often witnessed incredible women connecting over problems rather than accomplishments, and shielding themselves from experiencing true pleasure.

After a lifetime of dreaming of her own beauty brand (Seriously, read her second grade journal!), it all clicked for Brittany. Drawing from her Chinese heritage and unwavering passion, Beia was born to shatter the taboo of indulging oneself.

Brittany’s ultimate goal: to inspire the embrace of all forms of “me moments” that ultimately unleash the very best, most beautiful version of you.

Meaghan Barakett

Founder of One Girl, Inc.
@meaghanbarakett

Meaghan Barakett is an advocate for the empowerment and advancement of women and girls, and is also the founder and president of One Girl New York Inc., an organization dedicated to helping young women effectively serve their communities. Under her leadership, One Girl created Women in Charge: A Forum on Women’s Leadership, an annual conference in partnership with the Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service.

In 2020, Barakett's nearly three year old son Lincoln passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. As a result, she became a fierce proponent for SUDC research and awareness, embarking on a focused mission to find its possible medical and environmental instigators, and to save future children from this puzzling cause of death. Barakett has also been a champion for laws to protect victims of cyberbullying and online impersonation. She assisted in drafting and pushing for the passage of the E-Impersonation Prevention Act, New York Senate Bill S5871-A, which would elevate the crime of cyberbullying and online impersonation - with intent to harm - to a felony in the State.
